Connect the Device

Step-1

Neuphony User Guide

Press the power button to switch on the device

Step-2

When the LED starts blinking, establish connection with device by clicking on 'Connect Now' button in the mobile app.

Step-3

The LED will get stable once the device gets connected to your smartphone. You can now see connected device on the screen.

Sit in a quiet environment before using Neuphony

Sit in a calm & conducive environment in a relaxing position

Avoid putting shampoo and gel before using Neuphony

Your hair need to be dry & clean. Do not use gel, spray, conditioner etc.

Step-1

How to wear the device

First make sure front two sensors touches your forehead properly.
*If your head size is too small, you can compromise the front sensors and make sure the top 4 are connected.

Step-2

How to wear neuphony headband

The side sensors (above your year ) act as reference of the EEG connection. They should touch the scalp properly.

Instruction For Females

Step-1

To connect side sensors, Use clutcher along with clip to take parting, towards back of ear.

Step-2

Making parting space so that the scalp is visible and side sensors can touch your skin & connects

Step-3

Do middle parting to make sure middle sensors touches your scalp.

Meditate With Neuphony

Step-1

Set your headband. Ensure all the sensors are touching your scalp. The two sensors in the front should touch the middle part of your forehead.

Step-2

For Focus Scores-
Choose from the options under the 'Improve External Focus' category.
For Relaxation scores-
Choose from the options under the 'Reduce stress and Anxiety' category.

Step-3

Click on 'Preview' to hear the music before beginning.
To start your meditation session, click on 'Start Meditation'.

Click on start meditation to start the session.

If sensors on the app screens turns green, it means they are connected. If red then adjust those sensors

Brain mapping

After all sensors are connected click on continue. Please stay still till music starts, when you see this Our app will do a baseline calculation of your brain.

Step-6

Sit back and relax while the meditation music is playing. At the end of session you will see the graph.

Step-4

The red dots on the screen means the sensors are not connected. Adjust your device till the dots turn green, i.e., get connected.
*All the dots might not turn green, so begin the meditation by clicking on the 'Continue' button, when it is activated.*

Step-5

Brain mapping

Before meditation, there will be a 1 minute Brain mapping, i.e., the baseline calculation of your brain by the device.

Step-6

Sit back and relax while the meditation session takes place. At the end of the session when the music stops, you will get your graph.

Understand Your Insights

The stress-distraction graph tells about your relaxation score throughout the session. The green part refers to high relaxation while the dark blue refers to high stress.

PDR is the optimal working frequency of your brain, which should be in the range of 8-12 Hz

This is your overall meditation duration, which gives a summary of your relaxation and external focus score.

Focus-graphs

The focus v/s distraction graph tells about your external focus score in the session. The light blue part refers to high focus, while the dark blue refers to distraction.

Mood analysis graphs during a session

The mood tracking tells about your mood - positive, negative, and neutral, during the session.

1. Try different meditations in the app and see how your brain responds to different styles of meditation music.

2. Meditate consistently with the one that gives highest score and see the change.
