The adult brain is capable of physical change and rewiring. One of the widely accepted way to rewire the brain’s associations and emotional responses is meditation. Meditation encourages intense self-awareness of the mind for example: ADHD, Anxiety, Depression or PTSD patients trained to be mindful of their damaging thoughts and panic attacks.
Dr. Jeff Tarrant is the founder and Director of Neuromeditation Institute in Oregon, where he has combined Meditation with Neuroscience and Psychology. He is also the author of the book, “Meditation Interventions to Rewire the Brain.” He has also trained extensively in a variety of spiritual and meditative practices, including Zen, Vipassana, Taoism/Qigong, Arhatic Yoga, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
